A New Design For A Classic Tool
UEi announces the
release of the ATTPC Pipe Clamp
Adapter and Surface Probe which works with any meter using K-type
thermocouple inputs. This unique design has a spring-loaded sensor
to maintain constant contact with the measuring surface and is
thermally isolated from ambient temperatures to preserve accuracy. A
Velcro strap wraps around the pipe, reattaching to the probe
housing, quickly securing it for reliable thermal contact. The
compact size and securing method make for easy and quick
measurements in crowded environments or where tubing is against

UEi Wins Design Award
UEi was
recognized for excellence in product design in the third annual
Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning
Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of 51
contractors acted as judges awarding UEi’s EAGLE Combustion
Analyzer™ the bronze award winner in the Testing & Monitoring
category. The EAGLE’s simplistic interface design, unique
functions, and user friendly documentation helps contractors set up,
maintain, and trouble shoot furnaces and boilers.
“This is a great tool for setting up equipment to its best efficiency,” noted one contractor judge. “The Eagle Analyzers is user friendly and is a great product for anyone who services fuel-fired equipment.”

The award was received during UEi’s celebration of their 40th anniversary. At a time when UEi has set its sights on the future and refocusing its core product lines, “The world changes, and UEi changes with it,” says Kane. “We’ve really tried to design products to match this different world.”
Kane is proud of his company’s evolving product portfolio. Not one to linger on past accomplishments, he observes how the product line has transitioned over the past decade. “It doesn’t bear any resemblance to 10 years ago except for the fact they are all test and measurement products,” he says. “The product line is broader. The features and the products are far more sophisticated, and the quality is much stronger. The goal is to create products that will have a real payoff for the contractors.

PHOENIX DL279KIT
UEi announces the
release of the long awaited Phoenix Clamp Meter Series combo pack,
which combines the DL279 Phoenix II Clamp-on Meter and the CH2 Hook
Extended Clamp Head. The popular DL279 features an amazing long list
of features and functions unmatched in today’s market like AC/DC
volts and amps, micro-amps, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty
cycle, temperature, non-contact voltage, a dual display, a worklight,
magnetic mount, test lead holder, test lead storage, wire sorting
tip, backlit display and a three-year limited warranty.
The DL279 also has a detachable clamp head allowing the “CH2 - The
Hook” to snap onto the Phoenix meter body, which means no more using
fingers to sort or pull wires for clamp reading. The Hook
extends the DL279’s measurement capabilities to
work areas too difficult to reach with standard clamp heads, or
undesirable due to the hazards associated with live contact points.
The Hook’s patent pending technology increases accuracy by providing
a virtual closed core inside the tip. The Hook works exclusively on
